v0.1.10
Welcome to Elderfield » Devlog
Here's another update which focuses more on changing some of the core gameplay as opposed to adding new areas/content.
This update focuses on the combat system, and I've tried to include something to address most common complaints. This wont resolve every issue, however I think it will be a good starting point, and I have many more ideas to keep making combat more interesting.
CHANGELOG
- Added health bars for enemies
- Added some new "surprises" to Shoppers
- Evasion has been removed. All +/-Evasion modifiers have been replaced with +/-Hit Rate
- Many niche stats have been removed from the status window
- A new "Skills" system has been added for non-magical attacks which use MP
- Added 5 new physical skills (1 starting, 2 vending machine, 2 loot)
- Guard has been changed, and is now a skill which costs MP. It resists the next attack, unless broken by special guard-breaking skills.
- Fixed enemy states not displaying
- Most rituals now deal more damage
- Luck rolls have been changed to be more random, and less influenced by the luck stat
- The wardrobe has been removed
- Equipment can be changed any time
- The hit/miss system has been overhauled, fixing old bugs and allowing for new skill possibilities
- Clearing farm clutter can no longer cause curses. Overall causes less "bad things" to happen.
- Coal rocks now give 2x coal
- The HUD MP bar now moves in the right direction
- Fixed animal friendship meter not displaying correctly

Why wardrobe removed? :(
Dude, love the art style and atmosphere! Seriously, those portrait sprites are creepy as hell, you nailed the lighting in them! Great job on the updates!
